EIB
There can be two sources for Helping you:
a. The EIBA Website
You can download a lot of your specification needs from the EIBA Website. You only need to find Volume 3, System Specifications, as a ZIP-file .... C'mon... students must have enogh with a few keywords.
b. Scientific partnership
EIB is indeed an open system, but the audiance interested in serious development are mainly manufacturers... No matter how much we admire the work of individuals, it is not our task to support these. But this is caught y suffient forums on the network, and - honestly - there are as much experts there as "Bastlers".
OK. As a student, you should check whether your school or university can't become "EIB Scientific Partner". For a very small price (I can remember something like 250 EUR) you get EVERYTHING (specifications, software, support, .... ) You can find some info on our website http://www.eiba.com.
But ... just surf these Internet waves a little longer. I'm sure you can find a lot of information already.
