Installed EIB nodes
I cannot give this information because I simply do not have it. Everybody you'd contact will say something different.
When comparing systems, please however take care of the following:
a. compare only nodes sold and installed for home- and building automation.
That other system is of course very strong in process automation ... and sometimes figures are not separated to give a better result.
b. "nodes" counting is only a rough measure
Since years, we see an increasing rise in functionality of devices. This means, that where a certain installation would require 1000 devices in 1993, in 2003 the same functionality may be achieved with 500 devices.
E.g.: choke became integrated in the power supply; push buttons with 4 and more rockers, 4-, 6- to 16-fold binary outputs, visualisations taking over complex control functions, ...
I recommend consulting some marketing guys of the various EIBA companies.
NOTE I once saw a shield at a production plant, proudly announcing the production of the 2.000.000 instance of a certain component.
