BCU Passwort

Hallo liebes Forum,
ich hab mir hier schon viel über EIB angelesen (tolles Forum :D) und wollte es jetzt mal ausprobieren.

Ich habe mir verschiedene gebrauchte Geräte gekauft, u.a. einen ABB EA/S 232.5 als Schnitstelle.

Leider schlägt das Programmieren über die ETS3 mit dem Hinweis fehl, dass ein BCU Key benötigt würde. In der Hilfe steht dazu, dass ich das Gerät entladen soll und dann neu programmieren kann. Funktioniert nur leider nicht so.

Ist es möglich das Passwort zu entfernen, oder sind Geräte mit BCU Passwort (das man nicht kennt) ein Fall für die Tonne? :mad:

Wer kann helfen?

Erst mal danke für die Antwort. Den Beitrag hatte ich tatsächlich noch nicht gefunden.

Allerdings handelt es sich nicht um den Busankoppler sondern um die EA/S 232.5 Schnittstelle auf der das Passwort sitzt - also ein REG Gerät.

Hilft dann nur der letzte Rat "zum Hersteller schicken" oder kann ich da selber noch was machen?

Please consider:
a. How comes that your device has a password? Maybe you have used it in another project where a password was filled in in the project properties in ETS. Then, you can try this password.
b. RS232 interfaces do not need to be programmed by ETS (at least not an application program, only an Individual Address), so, maybe it is not necessary.
c. Check also whether you are using the correct application for the device.
d. Possibly, there is something wrong with the product description of this device in ETS. Make sure you have downloaded from Internet the newsest product database from this manufacturer for this product and imported it in ETS. Does the problem still appear?
e. You may contact the manufacturer. Maybe problems are known? Maybe something is confirmed and the device can be exhanged by a new one?
f. There may be no reason for ETS to try to authorize. Create log-files of these ETS activities and send them to support@knx.org for analysis.

I bought a used part, a couple of months ago and haven't been able to contact the seller to ask him. :(

In some articles here it is mentioned that the adapter could cause problems if no physical address or aplication is loaded

It is of yesterday - actual enough?

Hmm, also ich kann den Adapter ansprechen und die Geräteinfos auslesen. Dann erhalte ich fogendes:

Ist das richtig so, dass da bei AST-Typ "Ungültiger Adapter" steht?

Vorgehensweise:

Aktor ins Projekt einfügen, sinnvolle Phys. Addresse vergeben (z.b. 1.1.10), Parametrieren.

Sensor ins Projekt einfügen, sinnvolle Phys. Addresse vergeben (z.b. 1.1.1), Parametrieren.

Extras --> Optionen --> Kommunikation, dort eine Serielle Verbindung auswählen oder anlegen. Dort dann auf "Einstellungen", dort z.b. 1.1.234 eintragen.

Dann den Aktor programmieren, dann den Sensor. Oder umgekehrt. Du kannst auch die RS232 ins Projekt einfügen und nur die Phys. Addresse (1.1.234) LOKAL programmieren. Die Aktoren/Sensoren dann "Über Bus"

Hallo EIB-Freak,
genau so habe ich es ja versucht. Nur lässt mich der EA/S 232.5 scheinbar nicht auf den Bus zugreifen.
Wenn ich versuche z.B. den Aktor zu programmieren, dann blinken zwar die Lämpchen (T/C) am RS232 und es erschein "Bitte Programmierknopf drücken" aber Fehlanzeige. Nichts tut sich.
Versuche ich den RS232 lokal zu programmieren fragt er nach dem Access Key (den ich ja leider nicht habe) "This device is protected by a BCU password (access key) other than specified for the project ..."

Also doch zum Hersteller schicken :confused:?

Nö, keine Drossel. Spannngsversorgung ist eine SV/S 30.640. Ist ja eigentlich idiotensicher.
