Hi,

Question from a HS2 newbie
Just received my HS2. I've assigned a new IP address 10.0.1.249 via Experte. I can ping this address, but within the browser, when I type 10.0.1.249, I get a "page not found"
I guess I forgot something, but my limited knowledge of the language doesn't help

Thank you for the tips.
Raymond

you have to use the slash. eg. http://10.0.1.249/hs for Visu-access
and http://10.0.1.249/hslist for debug etc. Login.
if you use another port than 80 you have to type http://10.0.1.249:PORT/hs

Thank you for quick and friendly answer

OK
But I don't reach very far. Login with admin admin. After 1-2 sec, the logon screen comes back, no error message.
I tried the HS Client, defined the server. Login with admin admin. The PC shows some activity for 10 sec and the logon screen comes back, no error message.
Did I put my bet on the wrong horse ?

Also, I find the doc rather inadequate. It is the typical example of a doc made by engineers for people who already know the stuff (not my case) i.e. in the beginning of the manual, it says "you should download the latest version bla bla". But at that stage, the reader is nowhere close to make a connection.

Thank you for yout patience

PS: no one has written "The idiot's guide to HS2" or "HS2 for dummies" :p

Have you set the proper rights for the user admin?
See "Stammdaten","Benutzerverwaltung","admin","Benutzerrechte"

There you have to set the proper rights for internal/external access to the surface (Oberfläche),lists (Listen) and administration and for HTML,WAP and the client!

No rights, no access! Proper rights, fun! :D

I can hardly agree, altough I'm the newbie and you the expert, but for me, a admin is a admin.
Would you be so kind to point me to the doc, I think I missed this reading.

Where can I find "Stammdaten" ? is it in the Experte ? if yes how many steps down (my Experte is in english)

I already tried to lead you to the correct input mask in the experte.
"Stammdaten" and "Benutzer" can be found on the left third of the screen, where "Benutzer" is a submenu of "Stammdaten"

Just change all parts "kein Zugriff" at Benutzer admin at least to Passwort.

No, to add a user admin does not lead to unlimited access to the hs.
Because you are able to transfer a new project to the hs, there is no need to change anything in the menu "Administration".

I've seen my mistake (at least one:D ): I had to load the Muster01.hs3
I see admin has all rights
Still no login

When I start the transmit function, I get an error: invalid physical address, but the HS2 is not yet on the bus, still using the RS232 cable to the PC

Where can I look up the error messages ?
I checked "Inbetriebnahme-Handbuch" no luck

Anyone has an idea as to where to look up error messages generated by the HS2 ?
Or at least those generated by the "Transmit" function.
btw I did RTFM, but no clue :(

Thank you
Raymond

PS: maybe you guys don't have any errors :D
